Unit Overview
The children will find a collection of puzzle pieces that will build the picture of the ‘Monkey Puzzle’ by Julia Donaldson. As the children listen to the rhyming story they will begin to join in with some predictable phrases. They will also begin to make simple links with their personal experiences. The children will recognise questions and adjectives used within the rhyming story and begin to use some examples of their own. The children will then compose and write their own rhyming sentences that describe an animal.
